TSUBA IDENTIFICATION GUIDE

The first chart was published in the article "Identification of Unsigned Tsuba" by Robert Burawoy in the Bulletin of the Association Franco-Japonaise, No. 15, January 1987. The second chart by C.U. Guido Schiller is the first chart being amended. Both are used here with permission. The charts serve as a basic guide for the identification of some of the major schools of tsuba makers.
