'SADAYUKI SAKU'
|
Provenance: Robert Haynes | NOT FOR SALE |
"A large tsuba with an image of a toad in the shape of an iron plate, inscribed, made by Sadayuki (H 07929.0), with kogai hitsu-ana, sukibori carving, and uchikaeshi rim.
This is a unique iron tsuba that is original and has an impact. Since it is the work of a swordsmith, it is well-trained and has a nice tone. On page 85 of ``Tsuba Appreciation Hyakutsuba 2'', a tsuba of another toad by Sadayuki is featured." (Haynes & Long) 9.02cm x 8.14cm x Approximately 5.7mm |
