"There were five generations of artists who signed 'ARICHIKA', H 00109.0 to H 00114.0 in Haynes Index. This tsuba is by the 1st of the family, 1661 to 1742. The work of the later generations became more and more in the Edo period Kinko style. This tsuba is by the first master in the style of the signature, which is well recorded. His teacher was Shoami Yoshihisa ( Chinkyu ) who was also the teacher of the 1st Yasuchika. There are examples signed at the age of 75 and dated 1735."
