"The theme of this tsuba is Dragon and Clouds. An iron plate in mokko shape with details in gold. Dates to Mid Edo period. The Kumagai tradition was founded by KumagaiYoshiyuki and worked as the official craftsmen for the Higo Clan in Edo. Amiya wrote in 1981 the year of the Rooster in July; "It is mumei, but Jingo tsuba, iron, mokko shape, round edges, hitsu ana on both sides, with details in gold. Backside with some moji." |
