KO KATCHUSHI
|
Provenance: Elliott Long | Not For Sale |
"The strong, softly lustrous metal with small pitted marks on both faces, and the antique-looking chisel marks around the tang hole are all characteristic indications of very early Muromachi work. The original hitsu is the rectangular shaped one, the kogai hitsu added later during mid-Muromachi period. This is a valuable work from the research standpoint." (Haynes & Long) 9.20cm x 9.20cm x 0.30cm |
