"Presented here is a well forged iron plate in a gourd shape with Kotoru rounded edge which is unusual for this period, ca. 1400-1450. Both surfaces are expertly hammered. Eggplant sukashi at the lower quarter. This workmanship creates an indescribable atmosphere. Attributed by NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho (Green) Origami. Dated May 13, 1972."
