"The theme of this iron tsuba is ink sticks and brushes. Before the Meiji Period, ink stones and sticks were used as writing tools. Back then, everyone wanted to write with the best and most expensive stones, sticks, and brushes.
Displayed here are the art supplies shown in ko-sukashi and representations of the art work done by a Samurai in sukidashi bori, and zogan inlay." (Long)
