"Yamagane tsuba dating from Nambokucho to Early Muromachi period. It has the look of age and dignity.The hitsu-ana and the nakago-ana are as large as those seen in Katchushi tsuba. This piece could have been used on a uchigatana. Dates from ca. 1300 to ca. 1400 and probably the work of a mirror-maker." (Haynes & Long) |
