Round iron sukashi tsuba with design of a rudder. Symbolic meaning of steering a boat and guiding a samurai. An excellent example of the work of the 3rd Bizen Suruga Master. The box with Hako-gake and the Tokubetsu Kicho paper from NBTHK dated Showa 42, 1967 were done by the same person at the same time. |
