NAMBAN in Asian Export style
This impressive Namban Tsuba has been authenticated as Hozon by NBTHK. The gourds are beautifully depicted by gorgeous gold & silver nunome zogan. Very shiny and elegant!

Daito Namban tsuba in excellant condition, Edo period ca. 1700.
Tetsu-ji with decoration of uri zu (gourd).
Tsuba size: 80mm x 78mm x 4mm, nakago size: 28mm x 9mm.
This tsuba has been well kept and it's patina is in great original condition.

A excellant example of technique: nada-kakugata, sukidashibori, kin-gin nunome zogan, Sukinokoshi dote-mimi, Ryo hitsu ana (shakudo ume).

This piece can be considered nearly top quality making it an excellant example of Namban tsuba made in Asian Export style.
