Myochin school iron plate in square circular shape with rounded corners and hammered edge. The design is of tide pools both sides, including sea anenomes. The carving appears to have been done while the plate was still 'hot'. Dates to the Edo period, ca. 1750-1800. This possibly could be a Shoami school piece. More study is needed. |
